About Barry Kevin O ‘Rourke

Residing in Georgetown, Guyana, Barry Kevin O’Rourke serves as managing director of S.A.B. Mining. The firm extracts diamonds and minerals in a 30,000-acre concession and is one of the largest gold producers in Guyana. Barry Kevin O’Rourke is responsible for the overall operation of the company.

Mr. O’Rourke supports several charities, including Joshua House Children’s Centre. The organization assists children rescued from abuse and neglect, providing them with a safe environment, food, clothing, education, medical care, and more. He also supports Guyana Bless the Children and St. John Bosco Orphanage Guyana. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he assisted in providing Guyana hospitals with personal protective equipment.

Mr. O’Rourke is committed to his work, which consumes 90 percent of his time. When time permits, he enjoys reading and catching up on politics, football, other sports. He is also interested in sailing, fishing, meditating, and stargazing. Attracted to the jungle, he enjoys its fresh air and clean water, as well as the sounds of jungle animals.
